Planning to run the Thrissur Cultural Capital Marathon 2026? Registration

The last date of registration is January 11, 2026.

Group registrations are only available for 25 or above participants. Please contact us for more details.

The Fun run is an 5 km run at the Thrissur Cultural Capital Marathon. It is meant to introduce runners to the beauty of running. Anyone can register for the Fun Run, individuals, friends, families etc.

Sorry, all race kits must be picked up on the day prior to the race at the race expo. Race kits will NOT be provided to runners on the day of the race.

Sorry, refund requests will NOT be entertained once registration has been completed.
Race Category can be changed from Fun Run to Half Marathon or Full Marathon by paying the balance amount. However this is only possible till 11th January 2026. Please drop us an E-mail if you would like to change this. If you would like to downgrade from FM to HM or from HM to Fun Run, it is also possible if you notify us before 11th January 2026. However, no refund will be given if you downgrade the category.

No transfer of registrations will be permitted. Individuals must register for themselves with the exception of the group registrations.

On successful completion of registration, you will receive an email confirming your registration. Please add eathrissur@gmail.com in your spam filters or add as a contact in your address book.
We firmly believe that anyone can run at any age. There is no upper limit to the age category for the Fun Run and nor for the endurance events, although we will require proof of prior completion of an event or assurance that you have put in the effort to train for the event for the full and half marathon.
If the participant is below 18 years, they should be accompanied by a parent/guardian for Full, 20-Miler and Half Marathon distances. The parent/guardian must also be registered in the same category and must accompany the minor at all times during the race.
No registrations will be accepted on the day of the race. This will be strictly enforced. Please do comply with the same.

Post Registration, a confirmation e-mail & SMS will be sent to the E-mail address & phone number (only to Indian numbers) respectively, which was provided during registration within 24 hours. For other race rules and regulation, please visit our website. BIBs will be generated only after January 18th for all registrations performed using Discount Code.

Race Expo

Bib distribution will be held on Saturday, 24th January 2026, 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Please Note:-

1. All confirmed runners need to personally come to collect their running number bibs from the Expo
2. Bibs will not be posted to individual addresses nor distributed on race day

Yes, the authorized person will be required to produce a copy of your photo id and an authorization letter to collect your race kit. One person can only collect a BIB of only one additional runner, unless otherwise the runners are part of the same immediate family.

The Race Course

Pets or animals are not allowed to register or participate in the Thrissur Cultural Capital Marathon.
No form of assistance to complete the course will be allowed. hopping on a vehicle of any kind will result in a disqualification and a ban from the registration for next year’s event.
Make the run your own. You’re welcome to do anything that enriches your experience, as long as you personally complete the full course.
Aid stations along the route will offer hydration and nutrition support, including water, electrolytes, fresh fruits, biscuits, and salt.
Aid stations are provided at regular 2 km intervals along the route. Participants can view their exact positions on the course map.

The Thrissur Cultural Capital Marathon is a premier road-running event set in the cultural heart of Kerala.
Walk–jog is a popular and accepted approach followed by runners worldwide. Whether you choose to walk, jog, run, or mix it up, you’re welcome to complete the distance in your own way—just be sure to adhere to the stipulated cut-off times.

The finish line and the race shall come to a close at 10:00 hrs. This will be strictly implemented.

The race officials will begin packing up and wrapping up of the race at this time.

No runner will be allowed to continue after this time as we do not have permissions to continue blocking the roads, etc after this time and are required by administrative officials to wrap up.

The Full Marathon has an overall time limit of 6 hours and 30 minutes. All participants must complete the race within this duration. Runners who are still on the course after the cut-off time will be required to board the official sweep vehicle.

In addition to the final cut-off, intermediate cut-off times will be enforced at designated checkpoints along the route. Participants who do not reach these checkpoints within the stipulated time will be withdrawn from the race.

Race officials and on-course medical staff have complete authority to stop any runner from continuing the race if deemed necessary. Their decision will be final and must be respected. Cut-off times will be strictly enforced in the interest of runner safety and statutory requirements.

Please note that there are no cut-off times for the Half Marathon and Fun Run events.

The race will start and finish at Thrissur Corporation Stadium..

The Full Marathon will start at 03:30 hrs

The 20-Miler will start at 04:00 hrs

The Half Marathon will start at 04:30 hrs

The 10KM Run will start at 05:30 hrs

The Fun Run will start at 06:30 hrs

All race categories will flag off strictly as per schedule. Participants are advised to report early during the assigned reporting time to avoid last-minute rush.

Getting to the Race

Parking near the start point is limited. Participants are strongly encouraged to carpool or use hired transport to the venue to help reduce traffic congestion.

Results and Prizes

Awards / mementos will be presented to both Men & Women running the Half & Full Marathon according to the following age categories:

Open (Under 40 Years)
Veteran (41-50 Years)
Senior (51-60 Years)
Super Senior (61 and above)

The overall winner will be declared based on the gun time. However, the age category winners will be decided based on one’s net time.

There is no podium position for the Fun run as we believe that everyone who stands at the starting line for the Fun run is a winner.

The Thrissur Cultural Capital Marathon does not offer prize money. This race is a celebration of the pure spirit of running and an opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in the beauty of our carefully curated marathon route.

Our focus is on the experience, the journey, and the joy of running—free from competition driven by rewards.

Every runner who completes their chosen distance within the stipulated cut-off time will receive a unique finisher’s medal, serving as both a proud achievement and a lasting souvenir of this scenic race.
