Everything You Need to Know Before Race Day
Welcome to the Thrissur Cultural Capital Marathon 2026, a celebration of endurance, culture, and community in the heart of Kerala. Whether you are a seasoned marathoner or a first-time runner, this section provides all essential information to help you prepare for a safe, enjoyable, and memorable race experience.
All registered participants will receive an official race bib with timing chip, access to hydration and medical support along the route, and a finisher medal upon successful completion of their chosen category. Race kits can be collected from the designated Expo venue by presenting a valid photo ID and confirmation email. Details regarding kit collection dates, venue, and timings will be announced closer to the event.
The marathon route is thoughtfully designed to showcase the vibrant spirit and cultural richness of Thrissur, with well-marked courses, trained volunteers, and traffic support to ensure runner safety. Medical teams, ambulances, and physiotherapy support will be available at strategic points throughout the course.
Participants are advised to arrive early on race day, follow the assigned start time and corral instructions, and adhere strictly to event rules and safety guidelines. Personal hydration belts are allowed, while the use of wheeled devices, pets, or unauthorised pacers is strictly prohibited.

While there is no prize money for this event, the following categories will get awards for Men and Women for Marathon, 20 MIlers, Half Marathon and 10KM:
- Open (Under 45 Years)
- Veteran (45-54 Years)
- Senior (55-64 Years)
- Super Senior (65 and above)
